Site plan for I-579 CAP Park,
Commissioned by the Office of Public Art, Pittsburgh PA.
In collaboration with La Quantra Bonci design firm.

The site plan connects the hill district neighborhood to downtown, establishing a community conduit with pedestrian paths, public space, and water features including a water reel, storm trenches, a rain garden and stormwater plan (highlighted in blue) designed by Jann.

Stairs and ramps wind throughout the site. The garden walls are gabions (allow water to flow through them) and are intended to serve as seats with images printed on enamel. The imagery makes reference to topography, hydrology, underground railroad, and other local history.
